Rana Rahimpour is Iranian-British freelance journalist, who served as Lead Presenter and bilingual correspondent for the BBC from 2008 to 2023. With a focus on major stories in Iran, like the nuclear program, anti-government protests, and social movements, she provided coverage to various BBC programs. Despite facing harassment from the Iranian government while in exile, Rana remains committed to in-depth reporting. She addressed the UN Human Rights Council in 2017 calling for an end to harassment of BBC journalists by the Iranian government.
